From creative design work and re-brands for our clients, to engineering our own bespoke solution for exhibitions and working on our team’s professional and personal development, February has had a lot going on. In this blog, we breakdown what’s happened at XIC HQ over the last few weeks.
A re-brand for Scottish Adventure Club
This month included an exciting re-brand project for Scottish Adventure Club, an accessible members group that supports a diverse range of adventure sports in Scotland. Looking for something that represented its activity, we worked closely with its team to deliver a logo that encompassed ideas of exploring, experiences and being surrounded by nature. Using a colour palette that aligns with the outdoors, the new logo is vibrant and distinguishable.
Following brand completion, we added livery to the committee’s vehicle and strategically placed the logo to ensure maximum brand awareness.

Attention-grabbing giveaway items for STR
Subsea equipment specialist STR had arranged to take its clients to Murrayfield Stadium to watch the highly anticipated Scotland vs All Blacks game in November 2022. Looking for VIP event material to enhance the overall experience, STR gave us free rein to come up with a concept for the event – the team’s main request? Something that was memorable.
Here is how we tackled this project.
Modern, protective casing that enhances Well-Safe’s brand
We’ve just finished working with decommissioning expert Well-Safe Solutions to modernise protective casing for its asset models.
Looking to enhance the overall appearance of its display, Well-Safe required something that elevated its strong brand identity while not distracting from the model itself, showing off the intricacies and technical spec of its product and operations.
Having first generated digital mock-ups of different designs, we wrapped the display base in a premium blue vinyl that was matched to the company’s brand colour. To complete the brand identity, we applied the logo in shape cut vinyl and also added a matching blue plaque inside the case, ensuring Well-Safe’s visitors and clients can discover information on the model while passing by.

We’re trained in basic life support skills!
At XIC, we’re passionate about promoting the importance of health and safety and this includes ensuring our team feel safe in the workplace. This is why 19 of our staff members and building tenants completed the QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator training course.
Delivered by Forrest Training, this course provided our team with the necessary skills to administer safe, prompt, and effective basic life support as well as using an automated external defibrillator in emergency situations.
As part of this initiative, we, along with our tenants, Cardinal Global Logistics and ABZ Airborne, also purchased a fully automated defibrillator for our building.
Overall, our staff has not only learned vital new skills that are important for the workplace but are also widely beneficial for outside of work too. Well done to everyone on their new qualification!
A bespoke system to improve your event stand design
As the exhibition calendar begins to ramp up across all industries, we wanted to create a solution that made designing your stand simple and easy, yet extremely eye catching and unique. To do this, we’ve engineered a bespoke fixing solution that allows a wall-based Tension Fabric System (TFS) to be fitted seamlessly to a shell scheme, providing a stunning frameless appearance, with continuous fabric graphic print.
By using the same hardware kit, which is compact and lightweight making it easy to store, the TFS can cater for all shell scheme sizes. Graphics are interchangeable by ordering new fabric and the system’s ability to work across various configurations means it can also be installed to office walls as an internal display, maximising return on investment.
We’ve intentionally designed this so that the system is easy for clients to fit themselves but we also offer demo and training sessions ahead of events at our premises. Additionally we’re able to offer full installation and breakdown services if this makes things easier for you and your team on the day.
Having received strong levels of interest in this system, we’re very excited to see this roll out across events this year!
