January 2023 highlights

The start of 2023 has been very exciting, not only have we worked with some amazing clients to produce bespoke, high-end print materials, but we have progressed some internal projects and recapped some of our 2022 successes!

The 2023 Aberdeen Marketing Report

We published a marketing report detailing trends and ideas for marketing professionals to support their 2023 strategies.

This 16 page document follows a survey which was conducted within the North-east marketing community and uncovers interesting insights and inspiration, as well as advice from us at XIC and industry experts within the region.

Delving deep into core trends around creativity, channels and the challenges that marketing teams are currently facing, statistics highlight top priorities within the sector and reveal key services that are outsourced, such as web design, print and PR, as well as insights into how to spend additional budget effectively.

Already downloaded more than 100 times, the interest in this piece has been unbelievable and we can’t wait to support more marketing professionals with their requirements this year.

We recapped our top three creative packaging projects of 2022…

Throughout 2022 we worked on projects that allowed us to get creative and produce fresh concepts that grabbed people’s attention, while it was hard to pick a favourite, we managed to choose our top three.

Working with organisations such as STR, Maryculter House Hotel and Fugro, check out our blog to find out how we developed bespoke packaging designs to show off their brand and stay at the forefront of their clients’ minds.

Luxury print work for Trump International Scotland

We absolutely loved working with Trump International Scotland to produce high-end tab dividers for its guest services documentation.

Incorporating the luxury of the magnificent hotel and golf course, we used traditional foiling techniques to ooze excellence. The crest and text were first engraved onto copper plates before moving to a machine-based method to apply the gold foil through heat and pressure to the high quality, tactile black paper.

The overall design stands out, is elegant and perfectly aligns with Trump’s well-known brand.

We’ve offset our 2022 carbon emissions!

Partnering with the World Land Trust, we have balanced the equivalent of 18,060kg of carbon dioxide, enabling them to help protect 3396m2 of critically threatened tropical forest.

This is great news for our clients who have put sustainability at the forefront of their upcoming business strategies, as printing material with us is carbon neutral through the scheme.

And finally, make sure to check out our new meeting room!

We’ve created a new meeting space and upcycled our existing furniture with a modern vinyl, providing creative inspiration for our clients when they visit XIC HQ.

By applying a full architectural vinyl wrap in wood tones and textures, the furnishing instantly looks refreshed, sleek and sophisticated. This technique is a prime example of how you can reuse existing items in a room, while totally transforming the look and feel of space, in a cost effective and sustainable way.
