John Clark needed…

help to meet the criteria for reopening its 37 Scottish dealerships – strong and effective communication that would keep 1,300 staff (plus thousands of customers and visitors) safe.

The big idea

It was simple, really – use powerful printed materials to inform, remind and reassure.

In other words:

  • Key messages EVERYWHERE (within reason, of course).
  • Lots of different formats to keep it interesting – from desk prompts to floor graphics to car mirror hangers and more.
  • Design that fitted seamlessly with existing John Clark marketing materials. Standing out was essential. But it was important not to scare people off. At the other end of the scale, a half-hearted effort without key colours or logos would be unfamiliar. Staff and clients need comfort right now.

Did it work?

Yes – at record speed, also, to meet ever-changing and rapidly approaching lockdown deadlines.  John Clark couldn’t have been more ready for re-opening.
